About the Regional Science Centre Dehradun

The RSC (Regional Science Centre) is situated in the Vigyan Dham, Jhjara, Premnagar area of Dehradun. NCSM established it in collaboration with UCOST. It is among the best science parks in Dehradun and aims to develop people’s interest in scientific knowledge.

The RCS is spread over an area of 30,450-metre squares, which includes the exclusive Science Park and the RSC building.

Within the science park, you can regale in the life-like dinosaur park and many other fascinating things based on scientific laws, including the musical bar, gravity chair, whispering garden, eco tube, perspective house, birding cage, etc.

The building holds other fun exhibits such as the Himalaya Gallery, Innovation Hub, Frontiers of Technology Gallery, 3D Theatre, Fun Science Gallery, an auditorium with a sitting capacity of 200 people, a Library and Meeting Hall, and an Exhibition Hall.

The innovation hub of the Regional Science Centre is one of the most significant parts of the building as there are various tools and scientific instruments that motivate youngsters to innovate new things. It is aimed at promoting scientific innovations by young minds.

The objectives of the RSC include developing the understanding of science and technology among people so they can adopt practical thinking in their daily lives.

Best Time To Visit Regional Science Centre Dehradun

The best time to visit the Regional Science Centre in Dehradun is from March to June as the weather is pleasant during these months. It is best to avoid it during monsoons from July to September as the rainfall can deter your plans of visiting any place in the city. If you are open to exploring moderate winters, we advise visiting it between October and November. The time from December to February can get extremely cold.

Entry Fee and Timings of Regional Science Centre Dehradun

The Regional Science Centre is open daily, except Monday, from 10 AM to 5 PM. Monday is weekly off. Apart from that, the RSC is closed on national holidays and major Indian festival days, including Holi and Deepawali.

Opening Hours: 10 AM to 5 PM (except Monday)
Ticketing hours: 10 AM to 3:30 PM.

The entry fee depends on the number of people and activities you want to participate in. For general visitors, the entry only fee is INR 50 and the fee for 3D theatre is INR 35 and INR 25 for Taramandal. For groups having more than 25 people and private school groups, the entry only fee is INR 40 and 3D theatre fee is INR 30 and planetarium fee is INR 20. The ticket price for Government or Municipal school groups is INR 25 for entry only, INR 15 for 3D theatre and INR 15 for Taramandal.
